Spencer Studios has been in business for more than 42 years providing their services to Ottawans. We like how they are conveniently situated between Merivale Road and Woodroffe Ave, north of Hunt Club Road, making it easy for clients to visit them.
One of the best things about Spencer Studios is that they have multi-awarded photographers on their roster. They are also skilled in building good rapport to ensure their clients have a good experience.
Spencer Studios does not allow walk-ins and strictly implements them, so their customers are required to book their appointments ahead of time. However, they make it up by providing a 24/7 online booking for customers who want to secure a slot.
We’re a little bummed out that they are closed on the weekends and do not accept passport or citizenship photos. Still, we’re super impressed with the quality of their work which makes them worth the wait and the weekday visit.

We’re a fan of Sooter’s Photography and how they have established a reputable image as one of the best photography studios in Ottawa. They’re best known for their low-cost but quality images.
Aside from that, we love how Sooter’s Photography is very well-known for their punctuality and prompt project completion. Our favorite service of theirs would be the photo processing of film negatives which sets them apart from the competitors.
The best thing about Sooter’s Photography is their prints – the papers and inks are acid-free which prevents fading over time. They also provide a wide variety to choose from, such as fine art paper, canvas, matte or glossy, and even metallic or wood laminates.
Despite their quality fine prints, we’re a little disappointed that Sooter’s Photography only provides professional photography services like headshots and passport photos. However, we love how their sessions only take 5-10 minutes, and voilà, you’re good to go.
We can also say that their locations are conveniently and strategically well-thought. When you look at the entirety of the shop, specifically the branch located at the Rideauview mall, you can see that they have a lot of people drawn to them because of their advantageous location.

We love how they compensate for their restricted scope of service by providing their clients with different venue options – you can do your session outside or utilize their studio. Grey Loft Studio only caters to weddings, maternity, children, and family sessions.
One of the best things about Grey Loft Studio is that they provide tailor mode photography sessions for each client’s preferences. Whether in or outside the studio, we love how they capture emotions in their shots.
They have an impressive 900 sq. ft. loft studio with neutral backgrounds. We like how we can select from a choice of natural textures or props if we don’t want to take advantage of the beautiful property outdoors, which is surrounded by forest and gardens.
We love how we received what we paid for at Grey Loft Studio. Undoubtedly, they provide excellent services with their expert staff, who are hands-on in catering to all of our necessities,, and requests.
Take note though, that Grey Loft Studio focuses mainly on weddings rather than graduation picture sessions. Still, we’re hoping that they’ll open their doors to more other types of photography services aside from this.

They have a wonderful studio located in the West End of Ottawa off Hunt Club and Prince of Wales Drive. It is built in order to have a safe, comfortable place for women to come for their sessions. She also does other types of photography under a different business name, LW Imaging.
