Celebrate Culture, Tradition, and Community at Ottawa’s 2025 Cinco de Mayo Festival
Are you ready for the biggest Cinco de Mayo party in Ottawa? The ByWard Market is the place to be on Sunday, May 4, 2025, as its streets will be filled with carnival games, kids’ workshops, and delicious food in celebration of the historical occasion.
We attended the first Cinco de Mayo fiesta in ByWard last year, and we had a blast, so we have high expectations for the upcoming event. Apart from the food, we’re looking forward to the live Mariachi bands and the traditional folk dances.
This year, there will be various activities for the little ones, such as piñata-making lessons and Mexican paper doll workshops. If they participate in the events, they can even win amazing prizes.

Admission to the fiesta is free. You can watch the live entertainment without a cost, but other Cinco de Mayo activities may require a fee.
