Meet Your Favorite Authors at Ottawa’s International Writers Festival in Spring 2025

We’re counting down the days to Ottawa’s International Writers Festival, a biannual gathering of new and established authors from all over the world. The Spring convention will take place from May 1 to 4, 2025, at the Library and Archives Canada.

One of the events we’re looking forward to is Crime and Punishment, featuring three acclaimed mystery writers: Liann Zhang, Katie Tallo, and Eliza Reid. It’s a chance to delve into their latest thrillers and gain insights into their writing processes.

Just like in previous years, the festival covers a wide range of genres, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

There will also be non-fiction books like Dr. Jagadish Shukla’s A Billion Butterflies, a story about the meteorologist’s life and accounts of climate science wrapped into one.

If you only want to attend select shows, you can get individual tickets, which will cost $25 per person, but only $20 for students and seniors. However, if you want to attend multiple events in a day, get the Evening Passes to save more.

We like that the festival offers online access to all the events. For only $20 per event, you won’t miss out on the discussions with your favorite writers.
